I care about the Hudson River, but it bothers me that for all the lip service for caring about the LI Sound, ther isn’t enough concern if silting or polluting issues in Westchester flow to the east instead of west toward the Hudson. Even though you have a front page article today on the flooding studies, there doesn’t seem to have been real action taken to prevent rivers from flooding out Mamaroneck again. Silting and polltion that the mamaroneck River isn’t being controlled, from what I can see, but there’s press for dredging LI Sound harbors. There is response if something will go toward the Hudson watershed, but little if it just goes east toward the Sound. Riverwatch doesn’t cover that aspect. There are still holdouts for some of the larger cities to join LISWIC (Long Island Sound Watershed Intermunicipal Council) Lip service.
Please try to prevent high rise construction on the Hudson River bank!
