Two Editorial Spotlight sessions are slated for next week. Here’s what’s coming up:
11 a.m. Tuesday: Westchester County Board of Legislators Chairman Ken Jenkins and other legislators meet with the Editorial Board to discuss budget, governance and communication issues . The county board, engaged in a separation of powers tiff with Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, is considering suing over budget cuts.
11 a.m. Wednesday: Candidates vying in the the special election for the 10th District seat on the Westchester County Board of Legislators discuss the issues. Democrat Greg Varian and Republican Sheila M. Marcotte are running to succeed Democrat Vito Pinto, who was chosen by Astorino to head Westchester County’s Veterans Service Agency and the Office of Drug Prevention and Stop-DWI.
