‘I just want to be very honest’
Former state Sen. Nick Spano, on his way into court to plead guilty to federal tax charges, had this to say:
Personally, I just want to be very honest and straight-forward about what has happened. Today I acknowledge that I did not pay all the taxes that I should’ve paid. I’m sorry for that.
