Joplin. Today marks one year after a deadly tornado destroyed much of the Missouri town. President Obama spoke to graduating seniors there Tuesday night, saying “America will only succeed if we all pitch in and pull together — and I’m counting on you to be leaders in that effort. Because you are from Joplin, and you’ve already defied the odds.”
