What people are talking about in 24 hours of LoHud.com:
A lawyer representing the family of Danroy Henry Jr. questioned for five hours Tuesday the officer who shot Henry. The deposition is part of a federal lawsuit filed by the family against Officer Aaron Hess, Pleasantville and Westchester County after Henry was killed in 2010 and a county grand jury declined to criminally charge Hess.
The truth will prevail and Officer Hess will be able to walk away with his head held high. I am sure this situation is as difficult for him as it is for the Henry family. He is/was an incredibly caring police officer who did his job and did it well.”

The grand jury found him faultless, and it should have ended there.”

Hang in there, officer.”

Its a pity that Officer Hess has to be further subjected to this abuse. Anywhere, anytime, someone points a firearm, takes a knife, bat, stick, car or any other object where death or serious injury will occur the officer has legal authority to terminate the threat.
It doesn’t matter what the mental state of the subject is or how well liked they were in the community or anything else for that matter.
The police are not paid to be killed, be punching bags or to suffer injuries. We all do all of these things. But when we can stop it we WILL stop the threat.
Same thing for the incidents in Newburgh, White Plains or anywhere else in the US or outside the US.
It has NOTHING to do with RACE. There are many that make it a racial issue. It all has to do with the threat. End of story.
Hess will prevail. And so will any other cop in NY facing similar situations.
Mayors need to step up to the plate and defend the police officers actions when they are cleared by Grand Jury’s and Departments. And they are too coward to do so. They worry about their re-election campaigns first.
