Similar anti-Islamic ads have turned up on San Francisco buses this summer, too. There, the Municipal Transportation Agency has decided to donate the ad revenue to a human rights organization.
New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority chairman and CEO, Joseph Lhota, said his agency, which doesn’t ban advertising based on message, is likely to review its policies in September.
