What people are talking about in 24 hours of LoHud.com:
The Journal News unintentionally received an email from state Sen. Greg Ball sent out to his campaign team, which urges one of his staff members to get letters to the editor “done” from constituents that includes specific campaign messages and attacks on his Democratic competitor, Justin Wagner.
If you have to stage your compliments and write your supposed supporter’s letters you know you’re in trouble.”
—Ken Winterfield
Yes, it’s unethical, when you’re making up facts and putting them in someone else’s mouth. A real public servant shouldn’t have to do this.”
—Debby Kleinberg
I am so looking forward to having a NYS Senator who will just focus on representing us in Albany instead of grandstanding, putting up self-aggrandizing billboards, posing for photo-ops, and soliciting compliments and letters of support. It will be such a welcome change to have Justin Wagner in the NYS Senate. I’ll take wacky (Wagner) over slime (Ball) any day.”

Where was the outrage over Journalists?…The point is: this kind of thing is quite common.”

A Bronxville resident offers her position on Paul Ryan’s tax plan in a letter to the editor today. Debate followed:
I have educated myself to the best of my ability. My conclusion is that Ryan/Romney represents a philosophy that benefits a minority and injures the majority. I do not doubt that Ryan/Romney are fine citizens that want the best for our nation. However, I reject their ideas. I reject their vision for our nation. I reject the supply side, trickle down policy that they will implement if elected. If that makes me ignorant, uneducated and hateful in your book then so be it. I can easily live with that.”
—Jeffrey Meyer
I am so sick of left wing rhetoric that is only capable of fooling the country’s most ignorant. First, Ryan is not running for president and Romney, who is, has his own plan. Its sad when an incumbent has such a horrendous record that fraud is all that’s left. Like the Bush tax cuts, all of these are across the board.”
