What people are talking about in 24 hours of LoHud.com: A federal probe finding that a Mamaroneck elementary school was “inconsistent” and “subjective” in how it divided students into four kindergarten classes, causing a “racially disproportionate impact.”
If something interfered with getting the best education for my child I wouldn’t stop complaining. Shame on anyone that would. Education should be a meritocracy and colorblind. It’s one of the main strengths of the U.S.”

Wow, glad I am not in kindergarten anymore. [It’s] too political.”
— Cary Wanzenberg Mayers
Regardless of a child’s socioeconomic background or color, he/she should not be segregated to please one group or class of people. We live in a world that is colorful and to create a divide at such an early age only teaches one thing — racism.”

Please note that I was very disappointed in you sport coverage of the HenHud Vs. Lakeland football game which was won by Hendrick Hudson.
The kids at Hen Hud worked very hard to get that win and all that was mentioned were the Lakeland players. No mention of the hard play of HenHud, just Lakeland tough luck. This was a disservice to our community and especially the players and coaches at Hendrick Hudson.
I couldn’t make the game and was thrilled to see that them won, but that was all you covered. No mention of who scored and what a tough contest on both sides of the field.
Very bad sport coverage and then to print the shameful article.
