Islanders and Brooklyn. Long Island’s hockey team is expected to announce today it’s moving closer to the city — to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, the new home of the NBA’s Nets, according to the Associated Press. An official announcement is set for this afternoon.
Update: The Islanders are planning to stream the press conference live on the team’s website at 1 p.m.
