Who tweeted about the presidential inauguration more — the citizens of 2009 or the citizens of 2013? Knowing the growth in popularity of Twitter, and of social media in general, it isn’t hard to guess. But Twitter’s Government and Politics team, @gov, gives us a pretty interesting visual comparison anyway:

In a second graphic, The Los Angeles Times compares President Obama’s second inauguration speech to all others, going back to George Washington, whose second speech (135 words) still ranks as the shortest such address.
