Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino announced Wednesday an anti-violence project that unites mental health experts, schools and nonprofits.
The project is his response to the Dec. 14 school shooting that left 20 first-graders and six educators, in addition to the shooter and his mother, dead in Newtown, Conn.
Astorino and his staff explained the project at a press conference and on Twitter:
