We’re asking folks to tell who they support in the Rockland and Westchester County Executive races, and (in 100 words or less) why.
To discuss your support for Westchester’s Republican incumbent Rob Astorino or Democratic challenger Noam Bramson, go to http://lohud.us/18lrvGY.
To discuss your support in the Rockland contest (no incumbent in this race) for either Republican Ed Day or Democrat David Fried, go to http://lohud.us/18VMnTi.
We’ll publish a sampling of the comments on Sundays, from now to just before Election Day, on lohud.com/opinion.
In Westchester, so far, the tallies are similar for the two candidates. But Astorino’s supporters are far more chatty (many people just ‘vote’ but don’t leave comments; we want to hear your reasoning for your support.)
Rockland respondents are much more willing to share their comments. Support for Day is running 4:1 over Fried. Both candidates’ supporters focus on candidates’ honesty and compassion.
But it’s early yet, in our wholly unscientific survey and in the campaign. So join in and share your views.
